TryNote community rules

Effective April 22, 2026 · trynote.to

TryNote is a network of communities for AI, software, and technology sharing. You can post, discuss, compare tools, and connect with people building the future. Every community on TryNote is expected to stay safe, on-topic, and human.

Not every post will be for you — but no one should be targeted or silenced in bad faith. The following rules apply to every user.

The rules

1

Stay on topic — technology & AI

Posts should be about AI, software, hardware relevant to the community, or closely adjacent tech. Off-topic rants, politics-only threads, or random memes may be removed.

2

No harassment, hate, or personal attacks

Disagree with ideas, not people. Threats, slurs, doxxing, or hate are not allowed. Severe cases may result in an immediate ban.

3

Be honest about reviews and benchmarks

If you run a benchmark, say what device, model version, and setup you used. If you were given a product for review, disclose it. Misleading benchmarks or fake organic reviews are grounds for removal.

4

Disclose affiliations and promotion

If you work at a company you post about, say so. Undisclosed astroturfing, sockpuppets, or paid campaigns pretending to be organic break this rule.

5

No spam, low effort, or vote manipulation

No repeated self-promo across posts, no coordinated boosting, no throwaway accounts to game the feed. Quality beats quantity.

6

Respect privacy and intellectual property

Do not post others’ private information without consent. Do not post pirated material, leaked NDA content, or stolen weights. Copyright or IP issues can be reported via Help.

7

No instructions for clearly harmful use

Do not use TryNote to distribute malware, non-consensual media, or instructions to harm people. Good-faith security research is welcome with responsible disclosure.

8

No illegal content

Anything illegal under applicable law, including child safety violations or non-consensual imagery, is prohibited and will be reported to authorities when required.

9

Follow topic-specific expectations

Moderators or labels may set extra expectations (e.g. flairs, weekly threads). Read the sidebar and pinned posts before posting in a space.

10

Keep it human

You may use AI to draft, but do not post raw machine output with no value. Add judgment, experience, and clarity — label significant AI help if needed.

Enforcement

Consequences depend on severity: removal, warning, suspension, or ban. Evading a ban with new accounts is not allowed. If you think a decision was wrong, use Help to appeal with links and context.
